Dr. Francesco Oddone is Director of the Glaucoma Unit at the Britannic Hospital of Fondazione Bietti, where he practices as a glaucoma surgeon and leads a multidisciplinary clinical team. His work encompasses the full spectrum of glaucoma care, with expertise in conventional and modern filtering surgery, and a strong focus on clinical research aimed at improving medical and surgical outcomes. His research also explores molecular links between glaucoma and neurodegeneration, particularly mitochondrial dysfunction and proteostasis, with the goal of identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
