Susan Mollan
●Biography
Prof. Susan Mollan is an internationally recognized neuro-ophthalmologist, Clinician Scientist, and Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization Chair in Research and Innovation at Queen’s University, Kingston. She is also Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham, England, and Visiting Professor at the Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital, Paris, France. Her research focuses on improving the care of patients with blinding ocular diseases. She has published more than 250 peer-reviewed articles and 13 book chapters, and reported the first randomized controlled trial of weight loss methods in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) in 2021. Prof. Mollan has also contributed to several international clinical guidelines, including those for IIH and giant cell arteritis, and was appointed as the first international board member of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
