Biography

Prof. Tamer M. El-Raggal, MD, PhD, FRCSEd is Professor of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and a consultant at BLINK Eye Center and Watany Eye Hospital. He graduated with honors from Ain Shams University, earning his Master’s degree in Ophthalmology with distinction, followed by the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd) in 2001 and his MD in Ophthalmology in 2002. Prof. El-Raggal worked at Magrabi Eye Hospital and Centers for ten years before establishing his private practice in 2009. He has authored more than 20 scientific publications, including 10 international publications, and serves as a reviewer for several leading international ophthalmology journals. He is an elected Board Member of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society (EOS) and serves on the boards of the Egyptian Society of Ocular Implants and Refractive Surgery (ESOIRS), the Dry Eye and Ocular Surface Society (DEOS), and the **Middle East Ophthalmology Meeting Academy (MEOM Academy).
