Biography
Dr. Majdi Abdala, MD, FICO (Alumni), MRCS (Oph), FIOF, is Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Benghazi and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Benghazi Teaching Eye Hospital, Libya. He is a Global Ambassador of the Ophthalmology Foundation and Former President of the Libyan Young Ophthalmology Society (LYOS).
His clinical and academic focus includes anterior segment and glaucoma surgery, MIGS, cataract–glaucoma surgery, OCT/OCTA imaging, and advances in refractive surgery. He is actively involved in postgraduate teaching, clinical research, ophthalmic education, and professional societies and international academic initiatives, including MEACO.
