Biography
Prof. Moncef Khairallah is Professor of Ophthalmology and has led a team specializing in uveitis and retinal disease at Fattouma Bourguiba University Hospital of Monastir, Tunisia, for more than 25 years. He is the current President of the Middle East African Uveitis Society and a member of numerous international scientific societies.
Prof. Khairallah has published more than 260 peer-reviewed articles, co-edited six books on uveitis and ocular infections, and authored about 100 book chapters. His honors include the AAO Achievement Award (2005) and Senior Achievement Award (2019), as well as Gold Medals from the Moroccan and Tunisian Societies of Ophthalmology. He was ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists in 2023, 2024, and 2025 according to Stanford University’s Scientist’s List.
